Jamie Pritchard is a Christian singer-songwriter and a Worship Leader from Poole.
Growing up in North London, music was all around Jamie. From a young age he would be sitting in on his Fathers band rehearsals, soaking it all in.
As a student Jamie studied Popular Music Production and it was in doing so that he discovered his love of Songwriting and telling stories, and he hasn't stopped writing since.
Jamie believes that songs are of enormous importance in life, 'music takes words into our souls without asking for permission'
- John Mark McMillan. And so Jamie sings songs about the things he cares about, songs about Jesus and family, songs of prayer and storytelling.
Jamies songs convey the beautiful things God has done in his own life and many of his songs draw from his own story, notably his recent release 'My Jesus'.
Uncontent with following the latest musical trends, Jamie's music draws from inspirations such as Bruce Springsteen, David Ramirez, Foy Vance and NEEDTOBREATHE among others. Pressing into a rootsy sound that lands between Country and Folk, and that creates a platform for the heart of the song to be heard.
It is Jamie's heart to take his songs out to the world, outside the 4 walls of the Church and you can often find him playing his songs in a wide variety of venues, from Churches, and Festivals, to Pubs and Cafe's, sharing the God-stories behind the songs and helping people wherever they are at to draw near to the God who loves them. Jamie's first record was released in 2019, 'Father:Songs of Intimacy', with singles such as 'Still Place' receiving playlisting on Spotify editorial playlists and singles like 'There's a Fire' receiving airtime on various radio stations, including UCB2.
His latest release 'Tapestry' (produced by Grammy nominated Nathan Jess) is a collection of songs with one overarching theme, that God wants to take the broken mess of our lives and redeem them, making them something beautiful again, like a Tapestry of his grace weaved together. The full EP was released on the 12th of May worldwide. And has received recognition from Spotify editorial playlists for his track 'Brick by Brick', as well as Radio play-listing for songs, 'Tapestry' (UCB2), 'My Jesus' (UBC2), Shadowlands (UCB1) and 'Brick by Brick' (UCB1).
